End of 2012 Season, Off season training and more

Hey Guys.

2012 was a great year for the Baton Rouge Tigers. As always we recruited some great new guys, made some great new friends and as alway, unfortunately, lost a few guys. It’s just the natural order of things.

Again as always we had some great, hard hitting, home and way games, some awesome road trips, hosted some great teams, played some good intense scrimmage games and had the privelage and honor of having Dave Wing share some if his great coaching skills with us to help improve our skills and kept up our fitness. We even sent some guys to Nationals who did a fantastic job of represented us.
All in all a great season, and one that I am very proud of.

Now for the off season, Josh Cartmill is currently taking the lead on us having a casual (if still fairly intense) Sunday arvo training on the LSU parade grounds from 3:30 till about 5. So come out and keep those skills and fitness levels up, and it’s a also a great low pressure opportunity for any new guys to join in and see what this great game is about. As well as this a few of us are doing the Happy’s Running Club every Tuesday, meeting at 6pm on 3rd Street, Downtown. They have 5 routes that start and finish at Happy Irish Pub which are all 5k and it’s also a great spot to hang out and socialize afterwards.

Lets all keep Happy, Healthy and Sociable over the Holidays,
keep spreading the word about this awesome sport, by sharing it and recruiting new guys leading up to pre season training 2013, which will start up after next Mardi Gras in mid February.

Cheers Guys, be safe and hope to see you out for a run and a kick soon
